Would you like to join our Community Reference Group?

We are pleased to invite community members to participate in our upcoming Community Reference Group. The group is designed to connect Cleanaway with the community, to gather valuable insights, build trust, share insights and provide feedback on issues that are important to you.

Your voice is important and we believe that different perspectives from the community help create a more inclusive and effective space for discussion. Whether you’re passionate about what’s happening in your local area or simply want to contribute your ideas and thoughts, we welcome your participation.

What is a Community Reference Group?

A Community Reference Group is a group of people from the community who meet every three months to share their opinions and feedback about issues that impact the community. Their main goal is to represent the community’s voice, making sure different views, needs and concerns are heard and acknowledged.

Generally, the Community Reference Group panel has two representatives from each of the following groups: local residents, local businesses, local councils, emergency services and community groups. As the Olympic Park Precinct is a newly developed area, this structure may be adapted as needed to reflect the community it serves.

This structure ensures that everyone’s voice is heard and that different perspectives are included in discussions, ensuring that a broad range of voices are represented.
